City officials this afternoon held a press conference Monday to kick off a second phase of the Main Square project at one of downtown Winona's central blocks. Main Square Development LLC, a company started by retired Fastenal founder Bob Kierlin, plans to build a 23 luxury apartments in a new four-story building at 225 Main St., as well as a two-story parking structure on nearby property currently occupied by an aging school auditorium.
